Okay, so I didn’t post last week only because I didn’t have very much to share at that time. I’m sure you don’t want to read a post of me just babbling on about nothing much.
I’m still working on my Hardanger lessons and enjoying every moment. I think I’m getting better, I sure hope so after all my hard work. I did manage to find 2 used books off Amazon which give me some great instructions and projects. Lots of smaller designs which I like since I don’t think I’d ever be able to complete a larger design such as a table cloth or runner. I also dug out a needlework frame that my neighbor had given me years ago. It’s been sitting in my basement for years until last week, for some strange reason, I remembered I had it. I dug it out, put it together and now wonder why I hadn’t thought about this before. Using the stand is, by far, so much easier. What a knucklehead I am!!
This is my Rocky Giraffe Utility Stand for Crafts & Needlework by Marie Products. Not sure how old it is but I think the company is not in business any longer. I did see some for sale on eBay, etc. This one was purchased at the Windsor Button Shop here in the Boston area for $46.00. probably back in the 1960’s. I’ve since purchased a new hoop that fits better into the clamp. I’m lovin’ it!!
And here is a sneak peek at the project I am working on now, a purple-ish butterfly motif.
Next week I will share some Thanksgiving CASE cards I made up a few months back.
So another week to go down in history, for many reasons!!
So long for now,
